Adafruit is Hiring – Gathering Department (Shipping Group)

Adafruit is currently looking to add a new team member to the Gathering Department within the Shipping Group. This is a full-time position, on-site, at our Brooklyn, NY location (Industry City).

Responsibilities

  • Work through one customer invoice at a time, gathering products for orders and delivering them to shippers.

  • Secondary responsibilities include Quality Assurance of large orders and basic product prep work.

Ideal Candidate Traits & Skills

  • Previous experience with shipping preferred but not required

  • Able to be on one’s feet most of the day

  • Able to lift and carry stacks of bins/boxes of varying sizes and weights up to 60 lbs

  • Ability to reach high shelves and bend to reach low shelves for parts needed

  • Able to perform manual, repetitive tasks such as counting large quantities of products, labeling, opening/closing ziplock bags, folding/building boxes, etc.

  • Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to prioritize overlapping tasks in a dynamic environment

  • Punctual, consistent work schedule, able to work independently

  • A strong team player who alerts team members when issues arise, takes initiative, and maintains a clean shared work environment

Compensation & Benefits

Schedule & Location
