Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera – CS Lens Mount
Description
The Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera captures 1456x1088 pixel images while avoiding the distortion artifacts produced by rolling shutter cameras. It is particularly helpful in situations involving fast motion or quickly varying lighting (or lightning!). It's the latest addition to Raspberry Pi's line of camera modules and is offered in the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera CS Mount.
Please note, the camera does not come with a lens. A lens is required! You can pick up a wide-angle or telephoto lens here.
It features a 1.5-megapixel Sony IMX296 sensor with an integrated global shutter. It is ideally suited to applications which require accurate imaging in the presence of rapid motion, including sports photography and industrial machine vision.
If you want a ready-to-go camera that does not require a separate lens, check out this wide-angle Camera 3. If you want a camera that supports M12 lenses, Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera – M12 Lens Mount.
The Raspberry Pi Global Shutter Camera is compatible with all models of Raspberry Pi. Comes with a 200mm long flexible cable for connecting to an A or B type Raspberry Pi computer, if it's too short/long we have a range of Raspberry Pi Camera Cables in various lengths, you can use here.
To use with a Pi Zero, you will need an adapter cable, which we stock here!
*Raspberry Pi Zero models require a Raspberry Pi Zero camera cable (sold separately) to connect.
To use with a Raspberry Pi 5, you will need this adapter cable! We have three length options here.
