The 'host part' of the cable has a USB A end and a dummy end that lets you swap the magnetic tips. 

The real magic is on the device end, a removable magnetic end that lets you quickly connect or disconnect with magnetic alignment. It's like having a 'MagSafe' connector for everything. Works with any and all devices, for both data-sync and power, for 5V up to 2A.

If you need a USB Type C to Micro-B/Type-C/iOS cable that passes all USB C lines and is for high current usage check out this cable, note it's more expensive and not cross-compatible with these tips.
