Raspberry Pi PoE+ HAT

Description

Power over Ethernet (PoE) can make your project wiring a breeze - instead of needing a wire for power and data, you can use one Ethernet cable for both!

Simply attach the standoffs in the four corners of the HAT, then connect to the 40-pin header. Once the HAT is connected, you can power your Pi through the RJ-45 network connector.

Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3 B+ that has PoE pins and Raspberry Pi 4. The Raspberry Pi computer is not included. Not compatible with the CM4 carrier board.

Please note: If you are using a Pi 3 B+, you may want to add some tape on top of the HDMI connector as slight variation in the standoff height, and capacitor height, may cause a short circuit. See this thread for more details on what to watch for. This does not affect Pi 4.

Not compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5.

The PoE connector and the main GPIO header connector are the same height. So in most cases, you should be OK. But if you are finding you want some extra space between them, you can use a socket riser (PID 4079). Add that in between the Pi and the HAT/Bonnet for some extra head room.

For people with neither Pi 3 B+'s nor Pi 4s, or if you can't use a HAT in your setup, check out our PoE to MicroUSB splitter, which will work with any computer that is powered from Micro USB.
