When using the Nova Drone Sound and Light Synthesizer in Modern/Postmodern Dance settings, where complex human movement structures call for mixed meter applications in Music, there is a great need for quick access to fixed rhythmic structures from the Nova Drone Synthesizer. Utilizing the Raspberry Pi and Scratch software for programming sequences, interfaced through the GPIO on the Raspberry Pi, a Relay and the Prototyping Board on the Nova Drone, allows for building of presets, further extensive explorations and control of the oscillators and filters of the Nova Drone Sound and Light Synthesizer.

We designed it carefully to make it as easy as possible to attach and detach the Pi. Since the Pi computer does not have any mounting holes, we use these nifty plastic edge ‘grabbers’ – they are incredibly strong but will not damage the Pi circuit board.
