Becky is our Director of Wearable electronics here at Adafruit, she’s also a close friend. Today we’re celebrating women in tech who inspire us, so besides Ladyada who I get to work with on a daily basis, I’m also lucky enough to work with Becky. Her energy, creativity and passion for teaching and sharing is incredible. Thank you Becky for being part of this adventure with us at Adafruit – Editor’s note, this is Phil writing this post on behalf of all of us at Adafruit 🙂

Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.

  1. And I was planning to sneak this one in just before midnight — Phil beat me to it! Becky might be a co-worker, but she is still my hero. A darned good maker, scientist, crafter and filmmaker all wrapped up in one tiny high-energy package. She picks up new techniques and skills in the time it takes most people to google for a how-to for the solution. And I have noticed that so many people I have encountered at MakerBot, Adafruit, MAKE, and beyond have been drawn into the maker movement after catching one of her videos or tutorials.

  2. You guys are the best!
