Sound Reactive LED Bike

Just saw your post on boingboing about wrapping LEDs around your handlebar. I thought you might be interested in some of the work that I’ve been doing with LEDs and bicycles.

I wrapped my bicycle frame with LEDs for the Bike Parties popular around here in the Bay Area and recently published the source code (runs on an Arduino) for the algorithm that blinks them to the music along with uploading a video of their operation today. Funny timing as I gave a talk at Noisebridge last night about these projects and met up with a few others that are working on this stuff for Burning Man during Circuit Hacking Monday at Noisebridge. There’s a nice community growing around here.

Anyway the source code is posted at Github and a demo is in the video above.
