UX/UI, Python, and HTML development needed for a CNC machine interface
at Bond in New York
Bond, a company based around plotter-style writing machines, is looking for someone to interface its robots with the illustrations and messages the bot needs to produce. Bond needs to develop a UI that the machine operators can use that will help them queue jobs, home the machine, pause for inspection, and keep the jobs coming off the machine coordinated with the queue of orders coming in. On the development end, the jobs are generated by a set of Python programs that translate into G-Code to get written out by the machine. Bond needs someone who can make certain the machine's working at peak performance by occasionally dipping into these programs to massage how they generate code and deliver files into the order queue. Ideally you have experience with CNC machines like mills or Makerbots, have delved into G-Code, know UX/UI, and have a good grasp on Python. Bond is intending to implement the tool operator interface in HTML so HTML/CSS skills are definitely a plus.
