Remote Data Logging and monitoring
at Durisol Building Systems (Anywhere)
We are in the building industry and would like to build a system that will monitor and collect temperature and humidity data for a 2 year period. The following are the details of the project: 1. We are building a 4 plex home in Northern Canada (4 homes connected together) 2. The walls will be built with concrete, formwork and insulation. 3. From the exterior to the interior of the wall, there are 5 points where we want to measure and record the temperature and RH. The idea is to have sensors placed at these points, pour the concrete and then connect the sensors to a data logger. The data logger should then be connected to a PC with WIFI access and then we would be able to remotely monitor, download the data, analyze, etc. 4. There are at least 10 different locations that we want to monitor (so 10x5 = 50 sensors) 5. We also want to measure exterior temperature and RH at 2+ locations 6. Can someone help us put all this together? I see sensors here that are $12 each and seem like they will do the trick. 7. I was involved with a similar program when I was in University and the sensors used were simple wire sensors and at the time the entire system was built for less than 10K. If someone is interested in providing a turnkey package (hardware, software, monitoring, remote access, etc) we would entertain proposals. We expect temperature ranges from -30 degrees celcius to 50 degrees and RH from 0 to 100. Also, if there is such a way to measure moisture content, that would also be required. We would only need to measure data every 10 minutes (maybe even every 20 minutes). So it would be 120,000 readings per sensor x 50+ sensors something like 6,000,000 - 10,000,000 data points total. Thanks.
