Arduino/Raspberry Pi/BeagleBone Engineer
at Bob Paradiso in New York
I have extensive experience quickly prototyping new ideas and developing solutions with AVR, PIC, and ARM microcontrollers. I’ve also worked a lot with Arduino boards to shorten time to initial prototype or when the team has a preference for using Arduino.
I have experience not only with developing custom firmware but also breadboarding circuits to prototype them. Once a circuit is working I’m able clean up the routing and transfer it to perfboard to solder it up. I am also able to design a custom PCB when that’s necessary or desired, either for production or working with SMD components or just to have a more finished final product. I have experience with both thru-hole and SMD soldering.
For some applications such as video or audio processing, microcontrollers are sometimes not powerful enough. For those situations I’ve used embedded computers like Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone to quickly and cheaply prototype new concepts.
On past projects I have controlled motors and other devices remotely through a variety methods including websites, iOS apps, and custom hardware based controls. I have also done work in automation based off of various sensor readings.
I am seeking further opportunities to work on innovative and efficient solutions to hardware problems. I am also interested in opportunities to collaborate with artists to help add dynamic and interactive elements to their projects.
