PCB design and layout + firmware
at Somaxis (Anywhere)
We have an existing design for our EXG biosensor that is functional. We have op-amps in our AFE, a microcontroller, and ANT as our radio. We want to make 5 changes to the design: 1. Remove some chips in the AFE that are not currently being used. 2. Switch from coin-cell battery to rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. 3. Switch from ANT chip to BLE chip. We have a dev kit for the chip we have identified for this. 4. Add a 3-axis accelerometer. 5. Change the board shape from round to rectangular, and minimize the footprint. We are using a PIC24F microcontroller for this. We are open to switching to a different micro if needed because of the addition of the 2nd simultaneous sensor modality (accelerometer + EXG). The BLE mod will require firmware changes. Ideally, we would like to find someone who can do both the design/layout changes as well as the firmware changes. Or if you are a PCB designer who works with someone / has a friend who can do the FW changes, that would work too. Our design files are in PADS. Ideally you are familiar with PADS. Can provide software if needed. OK to transition to another program like Eagle, etc, but would have to discuss the time/effort required for the port. We are in the bay area.
