This is a full kit (PCB and components) for a SpokePOV dongle. You will need one of these to communicate and download images to your SpokePOVs.

Requires a PC with a serial port running Linux/Unix or Windows. Can be used with a USB serial port converter on MacOSX/Win/Linux but it's a little finicky about which converter you use. I've had a lot of success with Keyspan adaptors and the GWC AP1100 (which is one of the cheapest you can buy: you can get it at Newegg or Jameco for $17).
If you're using a MacOS X and the GWC AP1100 or other "Prolific PL2303" chipset USB converter you should download and install the PL2303 OSX driver available here instead of the one on the CD.

If you have only a USB connection, we suggest the USB SpokePOV Dongle (also known as a USBtinyISP)

There's more info on the SpokePOV website, too.
