RFID Project Assistance.

Postby jainvikas8 » Sat Feb 09, 2013 1:44 am

Dear All Forum member,

I am Software Engineer and need to build an prototype for an client. Please can you recommend the hardware according the requirements specified below.

I have an Arduino UNO starter Kit here, also have an Arduino DUE

The basics of the system are as follows:

* RFID scanner (with buzzer if available) and Tokens/Tags required.

* Display LCD/VFD/Serial, Need to have at-least 16 characters x 2 lines.

* Also need an PUSH button to control when the RFID needs to Stop/Start Scan - If its embedded in RFID/Display, my job is easier.

Regards,

The RFID shield is simple to use with the UNO.

And we have a variety of tags to work with it:

And this shield should handle the display/pushbutton requirements:

Note that there are both positive and negative display versions of this product - as well as a monochrome backlight version if you prefer.

Forum,

At my school we use HID Proxy cards for access to our school. I would like to copy the data from the card and put it in a chip, and then put the chip in a bracelet. How would I go about this. I assume I will need a reader and writer and some kind of blank chip. Besides that I am lost. Please help.

respectfully

The links in my previous post will take you to the RFID shield and the tags. The product descriptions have links to the tutorials and library code with examples for reading and writing.
