Lights but no sound

Hello there,

just bought a x0x off eBay, got it and plugged it in using a 9v 1000ma adapter. The lights are on but when I run a pattern I only get a low frequency clicking instead of sound. Also nothing when clicking keys on random or keyboard mode.

The seller says it worked fine when he shipped it. Any suggestions what might be wrong?

make sure the adaptor is 9V AC and not DC
also, it is recommended to use a supply somewhere around 300-500mA (mine is 600mA)

if it's not that, then this clicking probably means the input to the VCA is silent (probably DC) or the oscillator frequency is maybe uber-low

So the output has to be AC? Do you have any links where I could buy one, can't seem to find anything:/
