Occidentalis v0.2 uses 256 of 512

The command 'free -m' reports total memory size of 230 rather than about 480. The download, md5, image install, first boot, and configuration went just like the adafruit tutorials for Occidentalis v0.2 (Great)!! At the configuration for memory_split, I selected 16m for GPU since we do not need graphics for instrumentation of bee hives. It appears that not all the 512mb of ram is being used by the kernel configuration. How can I change the boot configuration to recognize all the ram? :- )

To harness the full 512MB run the following command:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install raspi-config libraspberrypi*

Followed by

sudo reboot

THANK YOU very much. Updating most of the files in the /boot directory (including the kernel) worked just fine.
Then I added a new line "gpu_mem=16" to the end of the /boot/config.txt file for the minimum graphics memory.
Now the command "free -m" shows a total of 486mb available.
The plan is to add environmental sensors to monitor bee hives for chbr.org. Thanks again :- )
