Voltage Reg/open builds

Postby Maxhirez » Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:20 pm

I'm only on the call me list for a bone right now, but I'm curious to know if for robotics applications an off the shelf LM7805 on a 7.2 v LiPo pack will be sufficient power and regulation. Also, has anyone on the forum done a build of open CV or open NI on the Bone and if so do you have any pointers, especially for a Mac user?

a 7805 and 7V battery pack should be fine.
