I'm working on a prop gun that I am putting LEDS in. Due to size constraints and because the LEDs do not need to be individually controllable instead of using 12mm RGB strands I opted to solder leads onto 5mm RGB LEDS (http://www.adafruit.com/products/302
). Ideally they are going to be hooked up and controlled by an Arduino but since there are quite a few LEDs (38) I was wondering how to wire them without frying anything.
Is it ok to wire them in parallel? (red to red blue to blue) I know I will need resistors but will I need a transistor to run them with an Arduino?
