SIM Card reader capabilities

I am very interested in using the SIM card reader kit for a social networking project. I had some questions about its specifications. I was wondering:
- if it can give dialed/received/missed calls (broken up by category)
- up to how many previous calls can it read
- if it gives call duration information
- if it works with SIM cards from India (I thought all SIM cards are the same, but I'm not a technical expert so I want to be sure)
- how many previous SMS messages it can read
- if the reader software is compatible with Windows 7

all sims are the same but not all sims store all information. it depends on the phone and sim

For example, in my old job, Orange kindly supplied us with a couple of sim cards with 64mb 'flash'.
