Error : Unable to gather information about your card

Postby ism » Sat Jul 25, 2009 10:51 pm

Hello,
This Question is regarding the sim reader.
I was able to connect my reader with the computer. But now I am getting a different errror message.
That is "Unable to gather information about your card

." what may be the reason for this?
Please give me a solution for this.
Thank you.

Are you the same person that is not using an FTDI cable? How are you connecting the reader to the computer (schematic would be helpful) More info, more help.

Yes without the FTDI cable you can connect it via the serial port. Now the Reader is connected but when I run the sw this python error appears.

OK, you could start by including the connections you are using and what code are you running?

I am using the pysimreader-Serial-Win32-V2 which is available in the lady ada's site.

since you are NOT using a kit and are trying to build this on your own, its VERY likely you have a wiring problem. i dont have time to help people who didn't buy a kit so you can post here but keep it to one thread - do not spam the forums every day for help.
thanks!
