Simple RF M4 Receiver - 315MHz Momentary Type -

The item states on the page it works with 5 - 10 VDC. I plugged in a 9v battery and the receiver got smoking hot. Is there an error in the description? If so, I would like an exchange as the product does not handle 9v

I have run them at 10v with no problem. Does it get hot immediately? Or only when activated by the fob?

it was getting hot only when activated. It has now been changed and it works correctly. Must have been a faulty one.
