my tv b-gone is always on

I finished my kit-I left off the switch to extend the leeds so I can use it in a case.even without the switch,the green led always blinks-and yes,it turns my t.v. off.so,I mounted the switch to the board and the same thing.pushing the button doesnt start or stop it. it is always on-- help please

thank for the reply-it works fine .the cycle time was longer than i thought
