2.8 TFT LCD Breakout Board Brightness Issue

Hello,

I just got to try out the 2.8 TFT LCD Breakout Board.
https://www.adafruit.com/products/335

I followed the tutorials and everything works as expected except the brightness is uneven. Specifically I get a dark spot. See attached image.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, this seems like a hardware defect.

Please help.

Indeed, that's peculiar. Is the protective plastic cover peeled off at this point? If so, and if it's still exhibiting this, we'll arrange for a replacement.
