Press-Fitting LCD

Soldering is messy. People can argue, but I wouldn't prefer to solder when I don't have to. I would love to know if press fitting LCD header pins will work since its just transferring electricity and solder just holds it in place permanently. I could be completely wrong, but I need to know if press fitting the headers will allow the LCD to work.

Not reliably. The pins are slightly smaller than the holes, so there is nothing to assure that the pin stays in contact with the side of the hole.
