Hello, I'm brand new to the site, have been dabbling in homebrewed electronics and projects for a while now. Recently ordered my beaglebone from Adafruit and have had a good time playing around with it.
I started a new project using lasers as a trip wire. I ordered 2 lasers from adafruit and when they arrived I went to work putting them into the system. The first one works awesome. However when I hooked the second one up... nothing. Will not even turn on. I apologize if this is in the wrong area, as I couldn't find a more suitable one.

A 3.6V LI battery scavenged from a cordless phone.

That should be a suitable supply. Contact support@adafruit.com with a link to this thread and we will replace the one that doesn't work.
