Portable generator powered laser.

Has anyone tried to make there laser engraving system portable? I would like to be able to setup in a parking lot for events.

As long as your generator can put out the power required, it should work.
How much does your laser draw?
Does anyone know how picky these lasers are about how clean their power is? If generator power is too noisy, you may have to use a grounding rod with the generator.
At many large events, you can pay a little extra (as a vendor) and get a power drop at your booth.
