burned boost

My brother got a older version of the boost, most likely V2 , did not read the warnings and attached a 9v. is it history or is there a way to fix it.

Most likely the damage would be to the boost converter chip. A replacement chip would probably make it usable again.

We don't sell them individually. The Linear Technology part number is LT1302CN8-5. You can buy it direct from Linear.
