A Raspberry Pi In A Game Boy Advance SP #piday #raspberrypi @Raspberry_Pi

So the main idea of this project is to put a raspberry pi “clone” into a GBA SP case with batteries and a screen, etc. I said “clone” because it is not made by the raspberry pi foundation, instead it’s made by a company called Odroid. This model is the Odroid W and they only had limited quantities so I bought one months ago. They run exactly the same as the Raspberry pi except for the odroid w is 1/3 the size and has many more features such as a RTC (real time clock), ADC and fuel gauge.

Here are the specs for the tiny portable computer:
Odroid W (Raspberry pi clone)
1300mah battery (cell phone battery [tiny])
Usb hub (3 usb ports – 1 will be used for wifi internally so 2 external)
HDMI port (great for movie player on the big screen at home)
Mono speaker hooked to an amp with digital volume (tact switches to change volume)
3.5in screen! And yes it does fit. [see pics]
Directional Pad, A, B, X, Y, L, R, Start, Select

And here are my images: As you can see I was able to get the screen into the case without too much of a gap. It’s about 1mm and that’s the best it could ever get without adding a spacer. The gap isn’t noticeable too much, I will keep working on it now.
