Take These Speakers out to Dinner #WearableWednesday

This classy little number I spied on Twice is the Mini Clutch Speaker by Stellé. It’s classy on the outside and all party on the inside, as its speaker is ready to stream your tunes. Stellé has a history of audio products and this one seems easy to interface.

The Mini-Clutch effortlessly pairs with any Bluetooth®-enabled device, including smartphones, tablets and computers, while a powerful six-watt stereo digital amplifier delivers optimal audio performance. Non-Bluetooth® devices are also able to enjoy the same powerful sound via an aux-in jack.

You can also use this purse as a speakerphone, if you don’t mind looking like you are talking to your purse. If your phone is running low, no fears, as this little clutch is ready to provide emergency power with its Lithium Ion battery.

The interior offers a lot of functionality with room for credit cards, lipstick and a built-in mirror, while the chain strap is also convertible from wrist to body. The purse is also available in a metallic purple color, so it definitely has options. What’s missing? I wish they had just built in an LED or audio sound for messages like phone calls, texts or Tweets. It seems like most women want a one stop solution, and a small purse is a good option. However, if you are going to keep your phone tucked away, better to have some method of alerts through the exterior of the purse. All in all, it’s a good start for combining good looks with smart tech in a less obvious package.

Want the DIY personalized version? Take a look at our Boombox Beach Bag tutorial — it’s not Bluetooth, but you can connect directly to your phone for some traveling audio adventures. Perhaps you engineers out there can figure out how to get an Arduino and a Bluetooth shield tied in for some advanced capabilities. It’s all about open source collaboration, so accept the challenge.
