Elspeth from Magic: The Gathering Costume

elspeth costume

Elspeth is the Sun’s Champion in Magic: The Gathering, and cosplayer cspranklerun has had a card featuring the character for a while and was fascinated by the character’s story. She invested time into making her own version of the costume and three years after getting an Elspeth card, she finished the cosplay:

The cosplay itself took a few months to make using mainly worbla and craft foam! I modified the sword I originally got for my first Elspeth to make it into her new 9ft spear. The week before the convention I wore her to I found out her tragic end in the latest book and decided to add little angel wings to put a final touch on the whole ensemble. Though it’s a rather hot and uncomfortable cosplay to wear it is one of my all time favorites since the character is very near and dear to my heart.
