Girls who code’s summer immersion program #WomenInSTEM

NewImage

Girls who code has launched their 2014 summer immersion program and it looks like a great opportunity for high school girls to gain some knowledge into computer science.

This summer, from coast to coast, 380 high school girls will walk the halls of the world’s leading technology companies. These outstanding young women will learn to think like computer scientists, network with female mentors working in the industry, and visit start-ups to see developers in action. Most importantly, they’ll join a powerful sisterhood of Girls Who Code who will support each other this summer, into college, and beyond.

Our 2013 alumnae have gone on to pursue computer science degrees at top universities like Harvard and UC Berkeley, secured paid technical internships working alongside professionals in the field, and even launched programs to teach girls around the world how to code.

When you empower girls in technology, there’s no limit to what they will accomplish. As we kick off the 2014 Summer Immersion Program today, we’re prepared to be blown away.

Without further ado, please join us in welcoming the Girls Who Code class of 2014!
