This summer light up the night sky and fly safe with your drone. In this project, we’ll show you how you can upgrade the iris quad copper with LED NeoPixel rings and 3d printed prop guards. These parts provide extra protection to your propellers and are extremely light weight. The tall legs and propeller guards are printed in high impact strength PET material. The mounts easily clips to the propeller arms and secured together with machined screws. The LED Neopixel rings are powred by a 1200 mAh lipo battery with some help from the PowerBoost 500. Our tiny trinket micro controller can animate these lovely LEDs using our NeoPixel arduino library. If you’re thinking about getting Iris or alrighy a pilot, you can make this close encouter of the 3DR kind.
