NEW PRODUCTS – MicroSD Sockets & uFL SMT Antenna Connectors

1660_LRG

NEW PRODUCT – MicroSD Socket – Add tons of storage to your next project with this micro SD card socket. We use this part in all our designs and it works great with any microSD (‘transflash’) of any storage size. It’s a surface-mount part and the pins are underneath so it needs a fine tip and paste or thin solder to get in there and solder, not for beginners! It is a push-push type: push the card in to insert, push again to spring it out.

You can get the EAGLE component for this in our EagleCAD library, its called (surprise!) MICROSD

NEW PRODUCT – uFL SMT Antenna Connector – uFL connectors are very small surface-mount parts used when an external RF antena is desired but a big bulky SMA connector takes up too much space. We use this part on our GPS and WiFi boards, they’re great! Chances are your antenna doesn’t use uFL as the main connector, in which case you should check out our uFL to SMA and uFL to RP-SMA adapter cables. These are also panel-mountable for a nice look. These are surface-mount but they’re not too tough to solder, just watch out that the part is symmetric but only one of the end pads connects to the antenna pin!

This component is in our EAGLE CAD library, called ANTENNA_UFL
