sideburn shared in the Adafruit Forums a project using an audio track to position eyes driven by a servo:

Powered by a RaspBerry Pi’s modified omxplayer to loop videos, the servo is controlled by way of the audio track in the video. The audio track is a series of digital PWM square waves that the servo understands in order to set the servo position.
