This Thranduil Cosplay Is Kingly

thrandruil costume

Even though Thranduil didn’t have much screen time in the first installation of The Hobbit trilogy, it was enough for cosplayers to start plotting. Mira, a.k.a. seawaterwitch, started construction for her Thranduil costume in January. She fabricated every piece from the shoes to the sword to the elegant robes:

His costume was [made] using Princess cut. Almost like the costume throne of Queen Susan Pevensie from Narnia. [She used] 4 meters of Silver Taffeta for base costume. There is gonna [be] two and third layers from brocade fabric and silver net fabric. Also silver ribbon and brown grey thick yarn (usually use for handbag of paper shopping bag).
