Addie Wagenknecht is an artist and techie making work that examines pop culture, feminist theory and new media via open source hardware.
She was the chair of this year’s Open Hardware Summit at MIT and has had fellowships at F.A.T. Lab and HyperWerk Institute as well as the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry. Her work has been featured in the Economist, Gizmodo, Slashdot, Engadget, Heise and ARTnews.
As she says on her site, “Through her artistic and scientific practices she hopes to challenge the status quo and create a sense of bittersweet irony (preferably both at once).”
