  1. Question:

So this question a lot more long, rambling, and open than most, but do you have any ideas for some way you could control the shape or stiffness or scrunched-up-ness or something-similar of fabric. So that you’d be able to control not just the color of certain parts of an article of clothing, but the shape as well.

One way I thought might work was attaching thread to two different points and using a motor to twist the thread up and bring them closer together, but that’d require a whole lot of motors to have something really interesting, and also aren’t motors pretty heavy to go inside clothing? (Unless there are actually light motors? I confess I haven’t looked very hard — I only got this idea for maybe how to do it when you showed the instructions for the scarf this episode.)

  2. Becky,
What kind of adhesive would you recommend for attaching an RGB LED Flexi-strip to cotton fabric? I’ve tried to use the adhesive included on the strip, but found it does not work very well with cotton.
