NeXT computer water jetted with a hole in the center.
The NeXT Computer (also called the NeXT Computer System) was a workstation computer developed, manufactured, and sold by NeXT Inc in the 1980′s and 90′s. At Adafruit we have collected a few non-working (and working) NeXT stations, including using an Arduino to rescue some old keyboards for present day use. The following series of photos are real, we have water jetted a circle in a non-working NeXT slab (also called the “pizza box”). Photo by John De Cristofaro, water jetting by Mike Estee, NeXT collection of Limor Fried and Phillip Torrone.
We are really happy with these photos and we’re sharing them in a few places. Here on our NeXT page, on Flickr in the NeXT set and on Google+ and lastly when you click the more link here.
