Super cute and fast miniature quadruped robot!

“Efficiency and Effectiveness Analysis of a New Direct Drive Miniature Quadruped Robot,” by Christopher Y. Brown, Dana E. Vogtmann, and Sarah Bergbreiter, from the Johns Hopkins University, was presented last month at ICRA 2013 in Germany.

    Apparently, it has crazy-powerful motors (crazy-expensive, too) (6mm diameter, 1.5W, 40krpm, 16:1 planetary gearbox)
