Richard Feynman — “The Pleasure of Finding Things Out”

Yesterday (May 11) would have been the 95th birthday of physicist, Nobel laureate, and total rock star Richard Feynman.

One of my favorite things ever is this video of Dr. Feynman talking about the wonderful experience of learning new things.

  1. eh,you are talking about pure science-physics history,he was the master.Love his books.Coorrect,he was a rockstar!

  2. What a great video. Thank you for posting this. His thoughts are well listening to.

  3. I love the part where he talks about his son saying his “word bag ran out of the word ‘cat'”.

My son when he was five years old would wake me up early in the morning with all kinds of interesting questions. He would whisper in my ear. For example:

    “Dad, what is condensation?”

“Can robots be marsupials? No they can’t Dad, because they’re electronic. They could be nocturnal. Owls are nocturnal. Kangaroos are marsupials. Their babies are named Joeys. Possums are marsupials. And Wombats. They live in Australia. What are some other marsupials?”
