6th Hardware Startup Meetup Tonight! @ NYU Poly Varick St Incubator #makerbusiness

NYHardwareStartup

Tonight looks to be a great 6th meet up of the NY Hardware Startup, with a headline pitch from Ben Einstein, founder of Bolt, and a chance for those submitting to NY Next Top Maker Competition to share products and garner support.

Check out this month’s event description:

It’s that time of the month again where we get together and show that hardware isn’t just an after thought in the big apple! Our longer pitch will be given by Ben Einstein, founder of Bolt, a new startup incubator in Boston that will be accepting applications for their inaugural class. I also thought we could use this meetup for those of you who have made a submission to the NY Next Top Maker competition to show off your product and garner support for the “public voting” finalist. If you’ve submitted an application and want to present, get in touch with me!

Here is the tentative agenda:

6:30 – 7:00pm: arrival, pizza and beer

7:00 – 7:20pm: Ben Einstein, founder of hardware incubator Bolt

7:20 – 7:50pm: Pitches from NY Next Top Maker submissions (TrafficCOM by Ted Ullrich; ALPHI by Jarett Michaelson and Tom Randolph, Sounder by Howard Fink)

7:50 – 8:00pm: Bill Morris from I Heart Engineering, pitching the TurtleBot

8:00 – 8:10pm: Sachin Chaudhry from BrightLot, presenting JumpDrive

8:10 – 9:00pm: mingling and drinking whatever’s left of the beer

As usual, let’s thank our sponsors MakeSimply for providing the food and refreshments!

See you on the 26th!
