There is a lot of buzz around the re-shoring of manufacturing. Re-shoring refers to manufacturing that was previous done outside of America and has been moved back to America. You will also hear the term near-shoring which refers to manufacturing work that has returned closer to America in countries such as Mexico as an example.

When I went to college, a professor at Temple University told our class that America can’t compete with someone earning $0.50 cents a day in another country and he mentioned the tile and rub business. He said the only way for America to compete was to sell information which probably sits well with universities because they are one of the sole sellers of major learning, knowledge and information.
The attitude of people I’ve talked to is if they are willing to pollute their water and their lands, it is better for us.
