MYDATA!
Read about it on sparkfun when they bought it.

Sounds like it likes small batches and fast change.

I liked the MyData when I got to play with it.

The one with the fewest blue LEDs.

These machines will be a great addition to Adafruit. You will be able to control your own production and not have to farm out or manually do the work. Looking forward to seeing the videos of the new machines spitting out parts! Outstanding. Randy

not big surprise coming from me
mydata
but will prefer a recent rebild from mydata MY9
that it new Mx100
key point of mydata was
easy to program (documeted ascii file format)
veery flexible nay even tape cut tape on tray wagon
juki was less flexible and undocumeted file format

Judging from her body language, I’d say she’s more in love with the JUKI.

How about our MC388 4 Head machine? I just installed one right near our office in PA. You should come take a look. You know I will give you the Adafruit price

The Mydata is the most flexible, has an open source on format.

If you are looking for throughput, the Juki is a good pick. Mydata has it’s strengths, but you manually have to load/unload the PWBs. I like the Mydata feeders. You can have your whole inventory on feeders and switch the feeders out as the machine is running and it knows what parts are where. With Juki you must put the feeders in the correct location on the machine. If you move the feeder, you must move it’s location in the software. I have seen that there is an RFID version available, but i think it’s expensive.
Juki support is great! It may take 3rd party software to program it efficiently, while most others use the standard pick and place file from your layout software.
If you have questions about the Juki system, drop me a line. I’m a user, and not affiliated with Juki.
I have never used the Samsung.
