Prototype Raspberry Pi race car:
A Raspberry Pi powered, wifi enabled, 1/12 scale Tamiya TL01 prototype autonomous/semi-autonomous race car. The car is controlled via a web page hosted on the car itself, which communicates with a computer using WebSockets over HTTP. The software running on the car is written using Node JS, Backbone and which allows for autonomous control whilst providing real-time user feedback.
In this video I demonstrate some of the car’s latest additions. New features include GPS, linear acceleration, angular acceleration and a 3D compass, all synced direct to browser. More detail is provided in the commentary.
