I’ve worked with a couple people who’ve purchased a large number of those giant LED arcade buttons from a different supplier. I’ve noticed that they don’t have a consistent polarity from factory. The first thing I do is pull the switch and light assembly from the button. I then pull the LED assembly and orient it so the visible resistor is on the side nearest the red push-button on the microswitch. That way I know the pole on the same side as the large black switch retaining tab is always + on all the switches I’m installing.
I think that’s a handy thing to point out when you do a tutorial. I’m sure you’ll note that the light tabs are .250 and the switch tabs are .187 .
Would make a wonderful Hal Eye… I have an idea…

I’ve recently discovered that some of the younger folks at my job have never heard of this movie. It’s a scary thought. Thank you for remembering it.
