Celebrating 100 Years of Grand Central Terminal

On Saturday, New York’s Grand Central Station celebrated it’s 100th Anniversary. Grand Central has been a big part of life for many New Yorkers for years, and the Atlantic has a wonderful photo spread of some of the more memorable moments.

My favorite photo is probably the one above, bottom, of the crowd watching coverage of John Glenn’s historic Friendship 7 orbital flight in February of 1962 (51 years ago).

Check out the whole gallery at the Atlantic.
