@adafruit Visits @RobotGrrl @makerfaire

RobotGrrl

I met up with RobotGrrl inside the Hall of Science at Maker Faire yesterday to talk about her latest display of birds. She was proud to show off her Adafruit Robotics skill badge attached to the hat of one of her Brrds.

Here’s a note from her blog about the Brrds she brought with her this time:

Seagull RoboBrrd – Interact with it by shaking it! At educational day this morning, kids loved it! As a bonus, this is a great way to stress-test RoboBrrd. Usually this would result in some broken servos, but it hasn’t broken yet!

Impy RoboBrrd – The classic NFC hats trick, and iPad interactivity. Can switch between the two with the press of a button. This RoboBrrd is made out of popsicle sticks and has a base, but it can run off of batteries and it is very cute.

Camouflage RoboBrrd – Just a dancing and blinking RoboBrrd, if you move your hand in front of its sensor, it will wave its wings differently! This RoboBrrd also has the laser cut additional face on it of the birds nest inspired architecture from the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
