This year at Maker Faire New York I’m helping run the Dueling Mechanical Bulls with The Madagascar Institute. Hungry attendees love to ride the bulls… when they’re working. Saturday morning we blew a shaft coupling and one of the bulls has not quite recovered. Hackish fixes came and went through the day, and this morning we’re setting out to just weld the shaft directly to the spinning base plate. I’ll let you know how it goes!
