Formlabs Form 1 Launches on Kickstarter

This just in … after months of speculation, Formlabs has finally launched their desktop resin-based (SLA) printer on Kickstarter — and they look to make their nut in the next couple of hours. Will this printer give plastic extrusion/FFF a run for its money? (At least among the “professional” desktop range?) Too early to tell.

The Form 1 marries high-end stereolithography (SL) technology and a seamless user experience at a price affordable to the professional designer, engineer and maker.

  1. I really like this 3D Printer….there is another material out that uses a kind of resin and is hardened and cured with UV light in 2 seconds…or how about a Printer that uses plastic bottles and such…
