From the Pi blog...

Chris Roffey got in touch to tell us about a series of Coding Club books he’s writing for kids. You can read more about the series by clicking on the image, and there’s a PDF you can preview of the introduction to the Python Basics book, due next month.

Learn the basics of coding quickly! This lively book is an introduction to the world of coding and to Python 3 – a fantastic language to start coding with. Young programmers will learn how to code and customise several fun applications including their own Magic8Ball and an Etch A Sketch® game. The fun challenges and Quick Quizzes help to consolidate new skills and the companion web site provides the full source code for all the projects and challenges as well as help for readers.

Each Friday is PiDay here at Adafruit, be sure to check out our posts, tutorials and new Raspberry Pi related products. Have you tried the new “Adafruit Raspberry Pi Educational Linux Distro” ? It’s our tweaked distribution for teaching electronics using the Raspberry Pi.
