Open Source Hardware Camp (UK) 5th September 2012… via COSM.

UK hardware hackers, take note: next weekend is the 2012 edition of Open Source Hardware Camp, now a two-day event featuring guest speakers and a great deal of hands-on lab time for many interesting open source projects.  COSM is very excited to be supporting this event and organization.

The calendar of events includes nine talks in a single track on Saturday, Sept. 15, followed by four workshop sessions conducted the following day. The Camp, sponsored by the London-based Open Source Hardware User Group (OSHUG), will be held this year quite far afield from the streets of London, in the Pennine town of Hebden Bridge.

According to event organizer Andrew Back, the Hardware Camp is an extension of OSHUG’s monthly seminars that have been conducted in the London area for the past three years or so. The monthly talks, which focused on topics from Arduino boards to open source hydrogen fuel celled cars have grown in popularity and attendance since their inception, leading OSHUG to launch the first Camp last year in London.

COSM the Internet of Things folks is now a sponsor of the event too.
